copilot tournament

We are happy to announce a special opportunity for Topcoder copilots.
Copilots are an integral part of the Topcoder community and it’s important to have a tournament to reward our best copilots with a trip to the 2020 Topcoder Open Finals.

Schedule

Copilot Online Competition Stages Dates

Stage 1Oct. 1, 2019 – Dec 31, 2019
Stage 2Jan. 1, 2020 – Mar. 31, 2020
Stage 3Apr. 1, 2020 – Jun. 30, 2020

Leaderboards

The leaderboard is calculated based on Copilot fulfillment and Copilot earnings within each stage.

FULFILLMENT: Copilots must maintain a fulfilment of 93% (CHANGED THIS YEAR) or higher. If you drop below 93% you will not qualify for the Copilot Tournament.

EARNINGS: Copilot payments are included based on the Registration Phase start date of each challenge or task. This includes Tasks that you copilot. For example, if you Copilot a Code challenge and the Registration Phase start date for the challenge is October 5th, then that is the date that is used. If a task is entered into the system simply for payment, then the Registration Phase start date is used as well. WE WILL BE MONITORING TASKS THAT ARE PAYMENTS FOR COPILOT WORK VS. DEV/DESIGN/QA TASKS THAT YOU ARE ASSIGNED TO, SO PLEASE BE MINDFUL. YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO EARN COPILOT POINTS FOR CHALLENGES OR TASKS THAT TOPCODER DEEMS TO BE NON-COPILOT WORK.

Changes for Data Science: This year we will be including Code and F2F challenges that are tagged with “Data Science” towards points for the Data Science track. We feel this will more fairly represent and include the work that data science copilots are performing.

FEEDBACK RATING (COMING SOON): With a planned start for stage 2, feedback on copilot performance will also be considered for qualification to win a trip. More details will be announced before any changes are introduced.

Topcoder reserves the right to add or remove competition tracks as needed. Competition stages and prizes may be changed at any time at Topcoder’s sole discretion.
